You can had a "real" bb with a cowl hood ... all of the Z11 and Z10 pace cars got a cowl hood on the Big Blocks ...

I think what was being said is that the car was "restored" and a cowl hood was added, THEN it was refitted with the (as delivered) SS hood to make the car "correct"

at least that is what i can make of the posts ...

that was one rare L89 car you had. Most of the L78s and especially the L89s I have seen, dont have the ZL2 hood option as factory delivered (5000 hoods were all that we available after the copos and the pacecars took about 1/2 of the 10K hoods made). Never saw a L89 yet with cowl induction, wow.
