Hit the bar with some 220 grit sand paper .Looks like the bar and tabs were orange.Someone painted what looks like Buick engine Red ...<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: pxtx</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Interesting the different shades of Orange. John, can you tell if there were other colors under the Orange on either?

The neat thing about NMW ws that they were able to use a similar tow bar for most of the cars and the chassis tabs were built to accomodate the same tow bar. For the record, I have had two different tow bar widths. The Narrower of the two seems to have been significantly more common. </div></div>

My set of tow hubs are reddish orange over yellow
Got em from original owner he said he got em that way
The top coat wore away to show yellow pain beneath.....

In the pictures, when safety chaining,go around the Tow Bar so not too drag on the Low drive ways or the ground.

That looks like a well made tow bar. It seems like most that were made for retail have some sort of way to break down for easier shipping. Like the Chrome bar use on the Mexican Motion cars, which was custom made, this one looks to be a 1-off job.
