Ok I got the housing all cleaned up, I will have some pictures tonight. It looks like the center section never had any paint on it and I found a little on the axle tubes. So I think I am going to detail it like the pictures Rick posted. So what color would the inspection cover be black?

Axles were completely painted semi-gloss black; drums and all. The pinion yoke was masked; brake lines were not in place.
This is ZL-1 #3 shortly after delivery. ![]()

Usually not. Many semi-gloss paints are MUCH glossier than satin. Typically closer to gloss than they are to satin.
