I know of an original 69 L89 Camaro SS/RS Conv ordered with almost every option on the list has been with same owner since he bought it at a GMAC repo auction in the mid 70's

Apparently the L89 Ragtop took advantage of the weight rules in a NHRA class?
Was it more dominant becuase of the weight transfer and being lighter in the nose? That would make it a hell-uv-a screamer out of the hole.

Just curious. I have a strangely ordered 1969 SS 396 convertible under restoration. Had standard interior with power top and power windows. Factory d80 spoilers on trim tag. Car is a 4 speed which I have. Factory engine long gone. No AC and no RS options. Just kinda curious.
