Stefano, I know the blue coupe that you are referring to. It is an original drivetrain car, but the auto trans seems to hurt its value. It still brought around 425K which was a fair price at the time. As it was mentioned by Vetteron, the 68/9 cars have been undervalued for years and are finally being recognized for what really were, one of the only true race packaged car available from the factory. A cars like Joes with its ownership history is a deal at its price, my 2 cents.

SBR knows a lot about these special cars. He taught me everything I know, and made me buy the L88's I have.No regrets on my purchases.

Thanks everyone for your comments. After reading them I almost want to take it off the market but I have changed direction to the unrestored cars so I have put what I and apparently everyone else thinks is a very fair price on it.I have been bombarded with requests for pictures so here you go.

This has to be one of the most desirable cars ever produced, and in the most desirable color combination! This is one car I would love to own. Good luck with the sale Joe.
Richard.

Just a bit more stats. On the L88 registry of verified cars, of the 116 L88's built in '69 only 18 convertibles are known left to exist.[ QUOTE ]

Wow! Check out the September issue of Vintage Motorsport www.vintagemotorsport.com in case you're not a subscriber. Has the Owens Corning L88 on the front cover and King of the L88's refering to Tony DeLorenzo. More exciting to me than owning one of Howard Hughes cars! [ QUOTE ]
