Yea, generally speaking, the 06B cars that were converted by Hurst have a higher probability of completely white emblems - but not the '69 style. They just painted them differently, as there are at least 3 different paint schemes for the '70 Deuce emblems.

Oh, ok...this i agree with. I thought you were claiming later cars to have the white pinned 69 emblems on them and i was gonna start a big argument.
![]() I'd bet even most late cars still had the same paint scheme as the one pictured above, with a few oddballs mixed in.

[/ QUOTE ] Exactly, it's just a few oddballs - not that many, but enough to document the exception as they've been found on original paint/condition cars. It's not too much of a stretch either, as the Hurst converted cars have several peculiar things with them - they just did things different than Yenko's kids! Cool topic though ![]() Now if we could start a picture war on how the repro emblem pictured above is different than the originals.....

The main difference between repro and original is thickness. The repop casting was made from an original emblem. They must have allowed for more metal when poured. The paint is tester model car colors. My wife paints them as needed. She does nicer detail work than originals. The blue color changes depending on whats in stock at the hobby shop. They also come in black as a dealer emblem. Earl

Your repops are the best out there Earl, and I have recommended them to several people... The thickness is actually very close. I stripped the paint out of mine and actually sprayed them for nice, even coverage..."over-restored" yes, but what the hell!
What alot of folks don't realize is that even original Yenko emblems were not all the same. There was apparently at least 2 (maybe 3 or 4) different runs of them produced and there are slight variations to them.

Joe is correct on all counts, Earls emblems are the best out there next to finding NOS ones. It took me about 5 years to find 3 NOS ones for my car - not easy, and not cheap!

OK, enough of the "easy" Yenko emblem trivia.. what does anyone know about this one?
