I had to get these pics before the sun went down Friday night,so hope you can make them out.

Then..

Now..

Texas Tommys bldg. is still there but is now a bank.

Then..

Now..About the only thing left is the same brown two windowed bldg. on the left and another farther down. That Drug store is now a Caribou coffee and the distant water tower is a different one today, but still in the same spot behind that tree.

Herberts' is no more, and will become a restaraunt.

Then..

Now.. and farther back.Looks like a lamp post is still in the same spot and they brought the front of the bldgs. out farther too.You can just make out a vertical blue Buick dealership sign in Dogs original pic.I think that's Carlsons paint or Emmetts today.

Me too!

[b]THIS has got to be the COOLEST thread ever!

I could never tire of looking at these pics!

Speaking of "tire", here's my contribution... The GIANT TIRE from the 1964 New York World's Fair:

It was un-assembled and brought to Detroit in 1965, where it still sits today along I-94. Ironically, I shot this photo when we were on our way back from the '04 Supercar Reunion.

My family's grocery store in Havre de Grace, MD.

I was at my Grandmother's house and grabbed some old albums to scan in. More as I find them.

My Grandfather in VerDun, France with his Beetle. He was stationed there for a while when he was in the Army.

My Grandfather on the bike still in France.

My Mom and a friend in Verdun, same Beetle.

Street scene in Verdun...and you got it...the same Beetle.

My Grandfather and his first car. Not sure who the lady is and my Grandmother was sure either. Akron, OH.
