I too believe it to be an Auguat 68 assembly made for 1969 production,based on the #306 sidecover & no A-B-C initial following it.They probably assembled a bunch of these very early on,closing in on the final made number of 44999.

Can you double check those digits?.Specifically the CC9,as I have some idea about the rest of it,but not certain.
