This is a auction...... Now the sellers should sue because they listed a car at a auction at no reserve and it didn't get them what they would have set their reserve at if they had a reserve ? ARRGH !!!!!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

I remember you making this argument last January and agreed with you then. I could not believe how many guys were expecting to make a pile of dough in a no reserve auction.

From an article on this subject in this morning's 'Arizona Republic' newspaper.....

"The terms of the financial settlement were not disclosed."

My guess is that B-J offered the judge a few bucks for his perceived shortfall, he made his mea culpa, and everyone moves on.

Hey Bill. Good to hear from you. Should be nice Saturday afternoon. In fact a nice day for a top down cruise up to Indian Bend and 101!

To avoid something like this happening again, and if they don't already,do you guys think that auction companies will now have one of their own meet with a seller one on one while their vehicle is being driven away from the gavel,to gauge the sellers opinions/feelings and settle any disputes right there & then?

Absolutely not. They dont really care about how the seller feels. I do see them placing all sold cars in a security controlled lot with no access by anyone but the buyer after his paperwork is finished. I bet that will be something new added this year.

As speculated the entire matter is finished. Steve Davis added his .02cents in the press release. I feel much better now. I wonder if he was wearing his shades during the press release.

Exactly. It's a frickin no reserve auction. It's a big corporate business that probably has lost some of its personal appeal, but that is corporate America. Have you called Sprint lately.

If you sell or buy at these no reserve auctions no whiners allowed. Like Bill Gates sais "Life isn't fair, get used to it."

If you bring a big dollar car to BJ, just ask in writing that you want to be guaranteed a certain amount of run time in the contract.

The contract is very clear that there is no run time guarantee...
