$1,044.56 for black CA plates? Maybe the "SSS" prefix meant something to the high bidder? Maybe he's a reptile enthusiast? Shelby guys probably would love a SSS plate! I bought a near-mint YOM pair on eBay for my '67 Camaro a few years ago for $49 and change and I thought that was high. They have 67, 68, and 69 stickers and were then taken-off and stored. I guess I was smart to buy them before the gold-rush hysteria hit!

I did the same thing, got these ZED 555 black plates for about $40.00 a few years back. They work great for a '69 Z/28 with a later build date. I'll take $1500.00. lol

Got mine for free, original plate to the car. I peeled off 20 years worth of stickers to get the 65 sticker back.

TK, the registration sticker(s) went on the rear plate and the front plate should not have stickers.

I cant run it in back because I live in Michigan. It was on the back when I got it though, along with the dealer frame. Last reg sticker was 1980.
