The chrome lid looks to be a repop chevy lid. The air cleaner itself is correct for '70-'72 GTO or Grand Prix. The '69 GTOs had a wider spread on the snorkels and the '68s were single snorkel. The hole with the plastic plug in it is for the carb vent tube which would technically make it correct for '71-'72.

I have an old dual snorkel air cleaner that came off my LS6 that I would be willing to sell real cheap to an LS6 owner that wants to restore and repair it. It doesn't have the lid and it's beat up, including a piece cut out of the end of one of the snorkels so that it would fit over the alternator bracket. It was on the car from 1972 until I've replaced it, in 2006, with a Camaro big block dual snorkel that more easily attached to the TransAm shaker. Just contact me by email if interested. Picture attached.

Looks like a run of the mill Pontiac four barrell dual snorkel air cleaner of the late 60's early 70s date range. I used one of the snorkels off of one of those to repair the crushed one on my 72 T/A's air cleaner.
