Joe, It's age. It's the plastisizer leaching out. You'll have to clean them up again in a decade or two....

Maybe a rubbing with Monostat cream would help?.

Thanks Dave. I have only noticed it on these 4 spoke wheels. Probally because it gets so dam cold up here nothing will run.Take care Joe
