If you want the car to be more correct you could remove the paint from the engine pad and at the same time it would be much easier for people to confirm orig stamping.

Thanks. Unfortunately, no "expert" or "third party" could call an engine stamping based on those pics due to the orange paint. I also asked if it was a restamp because your ad doesn't state that this is the original engine.

The gentleman who owned the car when it was restored said the numbers on the are original. I've had an independant 3rd party look at the photos as well. I have no reason to call either of them a liar. I am also willing to point out that I wasn't even alive when this car sold new to the original owner. ![]()
