Once again... nothing to do with what a supercar is or isn't. The 435hp vette in the original question would beat a deuce too, but it's still not a supercar by definition. Sorry.

Depends on the rear ratio. Alot of those 435hp vettes had 308 rears. They'd run 150 + but not that fast in the qtr. A friend of mine bought one thinking he was gonna blow us all away. (This was in late 70)I ran him with my L78 nova and beat him by almost a car length. After we passed the qtr mile mark, he blew by and just kept goin. 3 weeks later, he got drunk, and wrecked it.
