[ QUOTE ]
My power steering set-up for my Camaro came off a 69 396 Impala station wagon, which I'm fairly confident had never been molested. [no, it did not have XT wheels!! ]It was 3 piece, with the little L shaped bracket that attaches to the exhaust manifold bolt, and the cradle style bracket, not the later 2 piece set that is still available from GM. (Also had the p/s return line on the side of the pump reservoir) [/ QUOTE ] Gary, I totally concur. I purchased a 69 Caprice with the 396-2bbl setup and its P/S pump had the return on the side of the reservoir like the Camaros did. It also had the 3-piece bracket setup as well. I was the first person to take that 396 apart and I know that all the major components were original - born with items. Steve
