I distinctly remember a new burnished brown ZL1 on the showroon floor at Merollis Chev. It was sitting right in front of the parts counter. It was no console, no vinyl top. I can't be sure if it had a spoiler or if it was an RS. That sticker price was a real shocker in those days. It sat there for quite a while.

There were no Burnished Brown ZL1 cars.
Merollis did have the distincion of having the most ZL1's stolen off of their lot. None were ever recovered.

No burnished brown?? My bad. Maybe my distinct memory confused it with a dark green? I don't know the real name for the green; but could it have been?
