Probably a crack in the capillary tube somewhere... Advice would be to toss it and buy another. Better yet, toss ALL the Summit gauges and get a nice set of vintage SW's or Suns.

Replaced the gauge today and had the same result...took the original and tested on the stove and guess what?? it worked!.....then I tested the new one and it worked....this BB just runs cool I guess
have some vintage gauges in the parts dept....need to get the sending units and such organized..more fun..wilma
