I have this system sitting in our garage floor here at work...instructions say you can use the stock locations by welding an included heavy wire hanger type thing onto the tail pipes [that's my poorly worded desrciption]...and I got the transverse/crossflow muffler like the factory system. The same gentleman that did this extensive exhaust test some time ago have also been doing R&D work with Pypes, and after talking with them first, they sold me on the Pypes setup...
