Not an interesting point to you magazine collectors......But I am considering removing specific articles that I want to keep and placing them in three ring binders with some kind of index or table of contents for future reference..........

I have been thinking about scanning and then creating PDFs of the whole magazine... I have started with one or two... but damn is it time consuming.

I keep them in a large box up in the attic. I refuse to throw them out since I did that a few times and wish I had never done that. I had an original Motion Performance catalog that I threw out among other great old car magazines that had ads and write ups for some really special cars. I kick myself everytime I think about it.

mine are all in plastic sleeves in 3 ring binders.. 12 mags/1 year per binder.. organized in order sitting on bookshelves library style. Makes it real easy to get to any particular issue and to see what I have and don't have.

I have the same set up as Ed. Mine are in five inch, three ring binders. They hold twenty-four magazines nicely. The magazines are stored in plastic sleeves from Office Max or Staples. I put mine together in two year increments. With my Hi-Po cars and Speed and Super Cars, those are broken up into brand specific binders while others are grouped by category like "drag racing" or "vintage speed part catalogs." I was never a fan of the plastic tote boxes because I reference and read my vintage magazines on a frequent basis.

Ed, post pictures of your library

Mine are like Ed and Dans, but color coordinated for odd and even months and years.

This guy below was not as orderly.
His name is NOT Frank Johnson.

hey! is that a March '73 National Geographic?

I keep mine in copier paper boxes in my downstairs closet and my bedroom closet. I have a bunch more up in my attic in rubbermade totes. I have no idea how many magazines i have but i have been collecting them since the mid 1980's.
