Hodges and I are going to hang out on Saturday. Anyone else that is going, PM me your cell number. Word to the wise, if you are coming, get a room in advance. Saturday night will be the Big 12 championship game at Arrowhead. Could make rooms a little scarce. 2 of the local casino's are within spitting distance of the event.

Is it possible that this is the HO L78 that was for sale during the summer? Anyone know what this went for? If someone is there check the VIN...

Gorgeous well done car, top to bottom. I don't recall the VIN but it had L78 designated on the trim tag, so I would say that it had to be a Norwood car.
The high bids seemed to come from other dealers with the intent to resell and they were very strong, for wholesale bids, IMO but not enough. The car didn't sell across the block. |

Ok so its definetly a different one then. How high did it go? How did the storm impact the auction? Was supposed to be pretty bad down there as well.

Darren.... I think this is one of the cars you were asking about. Joe Cheeks owns this car and it is on his website right now. He has a small muscle car dealership in TN somewhere. He also take alot of his cars to the Mecum auctions both here in IL and to KC. Here's the link to the L78 Camaro on his site http://www.e-automania.com/gallery/m...?g2_itemId=239

I believe it was approx $70,000ish and the Auctioneer announced that it would take $80,000.00 to buy it that day.
He did sell his paint code 67 Burgundy 1969 Z28 for $72,500.00 plus fees. Lots of no shows, both cars and people due to the weather. I drove down. They had to close the interstate. It was a mess. |
