I for one, never put much faith in those "Private" auctions. You never really know who was bidding, or if they really bought the item to begin with. I have followed a few of those private auctions, and have found the sellers to be a bit shady. This Trim Tag looks to be a repop due to the chrisp letters on the upper portion of it. It looks as if the seller took some sandpaper to the center area to make it appear to be genuine, and aged a bit. I have seen REAL Z28 trim tags sell for much less than this tag. I have serious doubts that anyone really spent over $1k for one, when they can get a fresh repop for just over $300.
