Tom,
Just think about that for a minute. The date on the intake is part of the rough casting process. The intake still has to be cleaned and machined in a batch, then shipped to Tonowanda. How does that happen the same day ( before FedEx anyway )?  Steve

I agree that it probably was impossible. The prior owner must have replaced the original manifold and then went back to a 163 before I bought it. I found a 163 with a mid-May date and we are going to use it on the car. By the way...who started all this numbers nonsense anyway????
