Andy,,
------Typical of my absolutely amazingly bad memory I just got to thinking about side-exhaust when the other poster mentioned it. My car and yours have one major difference, the side pipes. Mine was an original sidepipe car from the factory. I think I was so taken with the fact that yours had J56 that I just overlooked the underneath off-roads which are actually cooler as far as I am concerned! Be glad yours isnt mine as I was trying to figure out a way to tell you that when I sold the car it had a very strong 468 roller motor in it (looked stock as can be on the outside). I had heard over the years that a later owner returned the car to stock with a date-coded and re-stamped 942 block. That would have taken the fun out of it for me.........Bill S |

Sorry to clog up your ad .........but just had to say that the under car off road exhaust had to be the best sounding factory exhaust system of all time. This really is a great car.

Very nice car. Is the frame and chassis as nice as the rest of the car? Any original factory docs?

Yes the frame and floors are just as nice. Car is Excellent through out. Car also still has original spare that has never been used. The only thing that really needs freshening up is the exhaust if a guy wanted that fresh new look. The exhaust is good and newer but its dis-colored from being ran and driven some.

As for doc's I have a stack but really question the window sticker as being real, It does have owner history, O.K. Used Car Papers from second selling dealer in 1972, Acc. catalog and numerous 1966 Chevrolet borchues. But as for concrete original 1966 factory delivered papers I wont stick my neck out there and say yes or no because Im just not good enough to tell. Im selling the car on what it is a NUMBERS MATCHING L72, factory J56, service off road exhaust, radio delete Mosport car. I do know that all the numbers match parts numbers date codes and stamps because Ive personally checked them. This is a very had car to find with these options and is a stunning example of a true 1966 Big Block Corvette, Ive been told by a few guys now that they think I have it under priced by quite a bit.
