[ QUOTE ]
I find it interesting no one else has started a post on this B/J auction in Palm Beach. Surely others here, must be watching. [/ QUOTE ] I'm still burned-out from watching Scottsdale. I did watch some Palm beach coverage on Friday night. That black/black '69 CJ Mach 1 with the red stripe was pretty nice. Not original color but a real looker. Paint was in the "too nice" category--it looked like glass. |

i don't mind them picking cars apart. It just bothers me when they do that and the information they give or imply is wrong.

does it bother anyone else the way these announcers pick apart the cars ? [/ QUOTE ] You mean the way we do? (I mean that in a joking way!) I'd rather have Steve Magnante or anyone smart enough tell us what's wrong and what's right with the cars. I learn stuff that way. If I was a bidder I'd be picking the car apart, or paying an expert to do it for me. |

i learn from all that too , but i guess it reminds me when i used to take my pro street 57 chevy to local cruises and hear some people pick my car apart. i would obviously ignore them but it still bothered me.

I guess I dont see it as picking the cars apart necessarily. Its more of a first hand account of how the car looks in person, rather than the few seconds of video in each area we see on TV.
If it needs attention in some areas, they say that. If its a very nicely done car, the mention that also. dave

They messed up on the black 70 LS6 chevelle tonight too. When it rolled across the auction block they said it was originally a 396 car when in the trunk there was a document that the seller put there clearly said that it was a LS6 car. Ealier in the program they said that the car wasn't certified as an LS6 and they got that confused when it rolled across the block. I could see a car there not being "certified", but why would you lie about authenticity at a place like barrett jackson, where a car is picked apart before it even rolls across the block.
