1001PA is the pricing code used, don't know how much PA was but the cost was variable depending on qty of cars ordered and other factors determine at the time of order.

926 972?9 (5 digits) is the Dupont mixing formula
926 = Non-metallic body color
972?9 = don't know (There were 1000's of possible colors.)

Maybe a Dupont paint shop can id it for you if they have knowledge. Most paint stores around here have little to no info on older paint colors and worse yet, don't care to even try to find out.

1001PA is the cost code.These varied,but the PA code was a $25.00 cost.
926 is indeed a Non Metallic.
972 9 does not appear in any of my Chevrolet Special Paint pages.There are 5 digit codes and nothing comes close.Can you recheck these real close.It looks like there is a digit missing.Also,what model of Vehicle is this paint code on,from what plant and build date?

Correction, young grasshopper!

Documentation from the time period spelled it both ways - I would think you would know that from your stacks of paperwork
