A rear Supercar oddity up for auction

Just out of curiosity, what is a "rear" Supercar odddity?

When I worked at Ford Casting in Flatrock MI back in '74, about 40-50% of the castings were scrapped, because the sand wasn't packed just right in the molds. My guess would be the block was red-tagged, and somehow didn't get tossed back into the smolter.

I wonder how that happened?

You are right about possibly being a foundry reject.....I read about these loooonnng ago. Can you say "BOAT ANCHOR"

You can buy a new one for 3-5K with bolt holes.

Guys I have just built a new garage and I have a cedar fun room upstairs that block would definitely make a good coffee table.
