Default Re: Now for Something Completely Different.......

I agree Kim there are. To have a former Attorney General of the United States Of America sitting in an Iraqi court defending the actions of Saddam is just a complete and utter insult to the people who have given of themselves and given their lives in trying to make Iraq a better place.

Iraq needs a to show the world it is now a nation that can live under laws and democratic rule but just what is this old curmudgen thinking? Is he doing this pro bono, and, if not who is paying him? The current administration never asked Clark to do this. What does this look like to the rest of the world.....some warped Monty Python skit?

Clark should remember that two of Saddam's previous lawyers are no longer with us today because of their involvement. Iraq does need to be a nation that lives under laws and democratic rule but there is no reason why a former US Attorney General should be defending him. What's next a Howard Dean "Save Saddam" fund raiser?
