Default Re: Mexico Chevelle with Ramair V

While visiting Mexico in the 70's i was in a 73 Chevelle Taxi, that had a six and floor shift standard. This was a time that the base engine in a US Chevelle was the 350. Mexican cars were always "exports" when built by a US or Canadian plant. Many GM cars in Mexico were manufactured or assembled from KDFS kits from US plants,in South america. The 70 chevelle was probably no exception, and probably was a heater and radio delete.
I have a Oldsmobile Inspectors Guide from 1970 and it has a section on export vehicles and lists things like, headrest delete, export tires, polished not chromed bumpers, mirror delete, KPH speedometer, etc.So there were probably lots of cars out there and some may still survive that were assembled in other countries (Ie Camaro's in the Phillipines). Looking forward to the photos.
