I have a Hurst Competition Plus shifter that we installed in our orginal '69 Chevelle in 1970. It had the bigger white ball I believe. It will be going back into the car when the day 2 restoration is done. I remember that black veloured Tee handles as well as the aluminum units. I think the plastic Tee handles also came in black.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.

Hey Keith...If you ever get a spare min, could you measure your early one? The one in my 69 is 1.875 and I thought it was installed when the car was new. No hurry. Thanks.

[/ QUOTE ] It is my understanding that the older ones were 2" in diameter, or so I have been told. But you know, It seems to me that they were bigger than that. Anyone else have any clearer recollection of the diameter? ![]() Steve
