Darren- Thanks for posting those pics of the L89. It does show a few interesting things and I can see where Jeff is coming from with his comments. That tag does look a little out of sorts.
Also I notice the temperture sending unit is coming out of the intake manifold. That wouldn't be the way it came from the factory which gives credence to what Jeff is saying. I assume there was no "paperwork" that went with the car. Can't wait til Mecum posts the results. SSJunkie68-69 |

The results of this auction have been posted on the Mecum site. There are 14 pages.
The 69 L89, lot S26, went for just under $71K. With the observations made here and judging by the price it went for, it was not a true real L89. ![]() The prices many of these cars got still amazes me. ![]() SSJunkie68-69 ![]() |

the yellow Yenko camaro
....lot # X34...sold for $204,750.00 ...and I believe it did NOT have the ORIGINAL motor... ....but was documented...( correct me if I am wrong ) ...and was an AUTOMATIC car. ![]() |
