I beg to differ, a Z28 is still a Z28, even if it doesnt have the original engine, as it was a specific Camaro model, not just an engine/trans option

Actually Z/28 was not a model, it was an option or so I've been led to believe anyway.

RPO Z28 was a performance option, all it got you was a 302/290HP engine in a coupe. Everything else (4 speed muncie, 12 bolt axle, power disc brakes, 15" wheels etc were mandatory and extra priced options.

So technically a Z28 without a 302 is not a Z28 anymore, but I doubt anyone will be selling one for the price of a rolling body anytime soon.
