Stange headers

hi rick,
i have an old watershed decal in my window for them. it shows 617-335-9872. if that doesn't work try 781-335-9872. i put them on my automatic equipped car very easily. i love the look of these. mine are 2 1/8" primary. they are a very old garage and i don't think you'll find a website. what are you looking to do with them? they also run real close the a mechanical fuel pump. i believe you can get a set made in a jig for about $350-$400 but they may need some massaging to fit. mike

Thanks again for the help. I am doing a complete restoration back to original and I am purchasing all the day two items from the car. Tunnel ram, Holleys, electric fuel pump, headers, aluminum valve covers, cool can, line lock, ladder bars, etc, etc. I was just curious how popular and valuable these headers are as I have rarely seen them and it has been at least 20 years since I saw them on a car. I think they are pretty cool myself, especially how they dump.

i would recommend that you blast and coat those headers if they are not too far gone. even if you buy new i would send them out as the metal on them is a bit thin. once you get the exhaust custom bent the headers install and come off very easily. if you bring the car to tubular they custom cend them too your car for about $750. the jig set was about $350. they are well built from what i've seen. mike

-----Just got back into town so didnt see your post. Everyone is correct. Those are "Tubies" all right. My old engine builder Jimmy Reid knows them well. I have always liked "Tubies", but as has been said you dont want to be going over any railroad tracks over about 2mph or you will be cutting sections out all the time at stock suspension height. My cousin had a set on his 67 GT500 427 and even with the front stiffened up a bunch he still had mucho extra welds on his, but those headers made the car look like an early AFX car to me!............Bill S

The headers are in very good condition needing only sand blasting and coating. I am amazed that they are not all beat up from driving but I believe the car was only used for racing so that may explain it. A lot of neat day II stuff on the car.
