Well you learn something new every day. I all ways thought they were 350 HP rated in 67. It's not like you run across one everyday.

The information I posted only pertains to US built cars. Maybe Canada still had the 350HP version in 67, which may make it even rarer!

We got the same engines as you guys in the Chevy IIs. A friend's '68 L79 Chevelle was quicker than another friend's '69 L34 Chevelle by 2-3 car lengths. I don't think the engine actually lost any where near 25 hp switching to the cast iron intake and Q'Jet. These were the super sleepers that most people ignored. Too bad.

Ok, here the deal on the 67 SS L79 Nova. Contacted GM of Canada (these guys are incredible to deal with). Got the original order sheet which I attached here. The car came as a L30/M20 with F40 Heavy Duty Suspension,Posi, Ect. Motor blew during warranty and owner had an L79 (327-350)put in it.(GM is sending rest of paperwork in a few weeks so hopefully the warranty stuff will be included.) The car is as close to a 9.5 as you can get. Has dual quads and an aluminum rad in it now. Original Manifold and rad come with car...What is a roundabout of what this is worth?

Sam, GM Canada does not keep the warranty info so they will not be able to provide it.

That sounds more like it, I was not aware of any '67 L79 Novas (325hp) coming from Canada. I believe all 6 are from the US.

Cool story, but you would probably need the warranty replacement of the L79 to document it - and justify the increased value, otherwise.... It's a cool car, drive it like you stole it
