I feel pretty lucky to have met Dave (as he introduced himself) last May. A legend whose editorials I'd enjoyed for years - he's Hemmingway to pretty much any automotive journalist you might come across - Dave couldn't have been more accommodating with my questions about my car and the road test (occasionally giving Mr. Wangers grief for slipping him a &quot;ringer&quot;!), while kindly sharing an anecdote or two of his own.
