I agree. Ebay can be used safely. Definitely contact the seller, look at the feedback, was the feedback for sales or purchases and use an escrow account for large purchases.

The unique thing about this scam is it all occurs off of Ebay. The scammer only used the information from the auction and sent it to the bidders that were listed in the auction.
