Rob,
The brackets that came with the American Thunder setup I got several years ago were perfect. Mounted to the Stock mounting holes. Actually I was surprised that the installation of the system was as easy and trouble free as it was. My car is up in the air now if you are interested in looking. Come to the Dark Side!!!! (of the river)
