Play it thru an 8-trk player......It will! The head to head transfer with the transistor sound amp comes mighty close.Just hit the track button and that will adjust for pops and hiss...Oh yeah,you still may need the pack of matches to adjust the tape or in this case head alignment.
Best of all...You can still remove the adapter and plug in your Iron Butterfly for the purists....Heavy... Steve ![]() |

That's funny. My friend Ronnie was quite a bit older than me and had a silver 69 Z, which is what got me hooked and caused me to get one of my own. It was around 71 and it had the 8 track on the console. He had the Iron Butterfly tape which I really liked and he had just bought Elvis' Poke Salad Annie. Every chance I got I would yank Elvis and go for Iron. He would get tired of it and go for Elvis. The only thing that made it tolerable was when he would turn it loose going up the ramp onto the bypass - those were the days. Nothing bad meant here, but the deck on the console lid sucked. Fit poorly and flopped around. At first I thought he did it.
