Default Re: CowlTag? How about my SS # too?

[ QUOTE ]
It's a perfect example of 427 Camaro built when most all of us never knew who was doing what at GM with these muscle cars.

[/ QUOTE ]
When most all of us never knew who was doing what at GM? I guess he means when most all of us didn't know who was doing what at GM, but we certainly do now, thanks to legitimate owners of legitimate unmolested cars who will opnely share their information and offer up their cars for those pesky "clipboard guys" to do their research on. If you don't want anyone to see your trim tag or ask any questions about your car's origin and authenticity, then why haul it to Vette Fest and have to stand guard over your trim tag all weekend? I guess because you don't want any more heart conditions caused by whatever might be on it, maybe the mystery 1 of 1 SS427 codes? And I'm a "dreamer?"
[ QUOTE ]
It's not been rebuilt or restored with ALL the COPO or 427 or "whatever you want to built" parts that are on available.

[/ QUOTE ] Well what is it then? Looks to me like it's had plenty rebuilt...paint, engine, shifter, gauges, wheels, tires, SS427 badges, wheel well mouldings, the list goes on. We can all see the car was in full race trim when purchased...so what makes it so original and unmolested now?
[ QUOTE ]
Most original SS427 around.

[/ QUOTE ]
Actually there aren't any "original SS427" Camaros around...period...including this one, whatever it is.
