On the Contrary,thats what you recieved when you ordered a 1970 Chevelle SS 454,and asked for a 4 spd Manual trans.,..the M-22.
Be it LS5,or LS6,It had nothing to do with solid lifters.
I know of over 40 LS5's that were built with the M22.
What would be more surprising is an LS5 built with an M21.I have yet to see any paper or physical proof they did,including that Convert.on TC that said it did.It's buildsheet was altered.
