Call Greyhound and see what their limits for ground shipment is. Then if its withn those see if the guy will drag it down to them and put it on one of the busses. They go just about everywhere and not a bad price either. I have used them to ship parts cross country to a friend in Ca who then mails them to me but nothing as big as a hood.
