I have this mag too. Take note that this particular owner opted to leave the factory SS 396 emblems in place so as to keep a "low profile" during his street racing encounters. The owner also wanted to keep a low profile in the magazine and so there aren't any good overall photos of the car. Too bad.
Motion did offer Phase III 396 Chevelles, at least they did in 1969, but those cars kept their 396s and trim. |

Here's a description of the various '69 B-M Chevelle setups.

Are there any descriptions like that for the Novas?

I'd like to thank everyone who responded. I'm new to this bulletin board and everyone seems very helpful. I may have more questions later on performance statistics, as I'm arranging my diecast collection (85+ cars) by elapsed 1/4 mile time.

Here's a shot of a '68 B-M Chevelle. Stinger hood, SS 427 emblems on hood and grille, hood tach, SS 396 stripes. Note that the Stinger scoop has been grafted onto the SS 396 hood. (Yes, or it could have been a full-fiberglass hood using the stock 396 mold as a base.)
This is the only photo I've found of a fully-converted '68 B-M Chevelle. |
