In the picture it looks like it still has 4 lug axles. I thought the original diff was swapped out for a 12 bolt in the motion vegas????

Yes, most Motion Vega's were swapped out w/ a narrowed 12-bolt, but not all. In fact, the majority of Motion-converted Vegas had the 12-bolt, 5-lug swap on the rear, but no 5-lug swap done on the front. Brad Fanshaw's Motion Super Vega is one of the few complete 5-lug swaps.

Just my opinion but 4-lug just turns me off, Motion car or not. Think about it:

Five fingers
Five toes
Five extremities: 2 arms, 2 legs, one head
Five lugs

It's just the natural tendency! Yeah, I know, 4-lug kept the cost of conversion down but a V-8 Vega with 5-lugs all around looks MUCH better.

Yes, I have a lot of time on my hands today...
