Matt, you said he has no interest in the car, so maybe you should ask him what is fair (NADA sais 30ish) and go from there. Would he be mad if you sold it for a profit shortly after you bought it? Tough decision, but like Kenny sais, put the ball in his court and see where HE is at on it.
