Great guy or Great goodfella, it reminds me a bit of a story I heard years ago of a racer who ripped off a dealer and come to find out the guy he ripped off wasnt the kind of fella you went around stealing from. The only reason I found this out is because I was trying to find the guy because he was a
previous owner of one of my cars. The guy left town and I couldn't find a trace of him. The person telling me the story said he ripped off the wrong people and if they found him he'd be wearing cement shoes. Don't know if it was true or not but I never could track him down. I don't think all car dealers are connected but you'd think a block or trans with a vin would have surfaced by now unless they were never suppose to. Make a great pulp fiction story if someone knew a little more. Even back in 69 I think alot of people knew how much the engines were worth. I wonder if the blocks were decked or wound up in speed boats... really makes you think... |

I was just told that a Cortez Silver ZL1 needing full Resto sold at a recent Pomona Swap Meet in the 150K range. Anybody else hear anything ?
