NHRa required 50 cars to be built to run in Super Stock, example was the order of 50 '68 Novas and 50 ZL-1s by Fred Gibb. To qualify for Stock, 500 was needed. Thus, Don ordering, (later reduced) 500 1969 Yenko Camaros.
