I went to see this car today. If anybody tracks these things, like I sometimes do, this was ebay item 1823927126 which ended April 30, 2002. It looks very good from a distance when cleaned up. It has the gradient paint job, using a chromatic paint.

Here's a picture of it (with my '01)...

If anyone is interested in seeing more pictures of it, I added an Owners page...

thanks for posting. That is a nice looking Maco. If I remember correctly the Mako show car that Chevy built had the 6 tail lights like that. That must have been a lot of work for Silva to build the first one.

I always though Chevrolet should have put 6 tail lights on those cars ! They sure look cool on those mid years.

Waynes car looks awesome in the pictures. As you can tell by the engine pictures that he provided, that it still needs some "detailing". He does have the body color T-Tops for it also (they aren't Mako sculpted ones though). He also has a set of the real knock-offs to install.

I plan on converting mine to the 6 tail lights someday. I also plan on trimming the hood scoop down to the normal height (it was raised 3"). I'm getting a CNC mill this month, so I can make the metal trim pieces that I need. Mako Shark II logo, shark logo, the hood trim pieces (for the scoops & dips).

Wow! If only the C3's looked like that from the factory. They'd be worth as much as the C2's.
