'68 Biscayne-14.902 @ 99.27 Mike and son Micky Hale split the driving duties. Mike, who hadn't been to a dragstrip in 20 years, started off with a 15.575 @ 96.95. Tire spinning was the big problem, but the Hales also changed plugs and adjusted the valves. As the temperature went up, so did the times. The best Mickey could muster in the 98 heat was 16.608 @ 94.98. After Mike clicked off a 15.269 @ 98.68 the next morning, Mickey recorded runs of 15.053 @ 99.27 and 14.902 @ 99.44.

Another cool 427/425 Biscayne.From MuscleCars Fall 84.
(it is reportedly just 46 427/425 Biscayne built at the Doraville,Georgia assembly plant.) Black/4-speed muncie/Hurst Shifter/3.73Posi.PDB and HD suspension.

Those were the first passes I ever made down a dragstrip and it showed. After that event we pulled down the engine and kinda rebuilt it more to racing "stock" specs. It went a 13.65 back at Thompson about 4 years ago. I broke the trans on the next pass. The car hasnt been out since, I put south side bars and headers back in, drove it around a while and it started making noise, tore the engie back down and found a bad rod bearing and its still on the stand. In the meantime decided I wasnt really wanting to race it anymore but just have fun crusing. We built a real racecar that we run in a Blown Alky group. Has run a best of 7.65 @ 181.
