Default Re: Paint color , will wrong color hurt the value

When I was buying my Deuce, I forgot to ask what the color was, even after the third phone conversation. I had no idea what Gobi Beige looked like, nor did I really care. Once I committed to buying the car, sent a deposit and actually saw the color, I thought about painting it Fathom Blue. The seller's opinion was; 'it's your car, paint it any color you like', not surprising - he already had my money!!

It took a few months, but after seeing the Wargo car, the beige grew on me to the point where I really liked it. Only 6 beige cars have been found out of 25 made (the lowest percentage, 24%), why? everybody repainted them something else - thereby losing a lot of the Yenko identity. It's cool having a different colored car, especially a Yenko because people instantly think that it's a clone when they say, "Yenko didn't make them in that color". So, I also think it's best to keep the original color. You don't have to make any excuses, you won't blend into the sea of red and blue at a show, and when you sell - somebody like the members here will certainly buy it.

I personally really like Frost Green RS Z28's, as well as the '67 color Mountain Green?? I need to win the lottery!!
