We got a walk through of the lower level, it’s huge down there, can’t wait to see that done, they have a 40’ tall Indian down there from a dealer I guess, lots of cool stuff down there.

They are sister museums.

Ann and I picked up Phil Mitchell's 69 RA1V Humbler GTO of the Pontiac Museum in Illinois a couple of years ago. Tim was kind enough to give us a behind the scenes tour of the museum and many places that the general public never sees including their shop and basement. To say that it was incredible would be an understatement. Some of the artifacts, memorabilia and literature was amazing, much of it being one offs. Tim's collection of outboard motors stored in the basement was like none I have ever seen. Even though they had nothing to do with Pontiacs, it was incredible. Tim is an extremely knowledgeable and very outgoing person and treated Ann and myself very well and was not in any hurry for us to leave even though it was a Sunday. It was not until after we had the GTO loaded in our trailer that Tim told us the value of that GTO. Needless to say, I contacted Tamra at MK Insurance to see if my trailer was covered for that amount. It was. Whew!

At any rate, if any of you have a chance to see that museum, take the time. It is very interesting and I am not a Pontiac guy.

The POCI is in Pontiac this year, I heard they were trying to use M1 complex but didn’t work out a deal, anyone coming in for this, it’s in June.
It’s at the Marriott off Opdyke (sq Lake ) some things will go on at the museum they say.

As I was reading this I kept thinking I was on PY forums Then I go to today’s threads and realized it wasn’t. . Happy to see this Pontiac info here.
Would be nice to see even more.

When I went to Don garlits museum I noticed there was almost nothing Pontiac there, would be nice to see some Pontiac stuff down there considering the contributions to drag racing Pontiac has made. But maybe it’s all in the Pontiac museum and that’s why.

There were a few concept cars, one saved from the crusher with damage on it, wonder if they came from Warhoops yard before it closed. We used to hit warhoops every fall, it was like a car show.
