Default Dec. 8’th 1980 - John Lennon

Hard to believe it’s 45 years since John Lennon was senselessly gunned down.

Remember it like it was yesterday, I often think about if he was still alive, what he would have to say about the World we Live in Today ?

I was at springsteen’s concert the day after at the spectrum. It was very sad but Bruce and the e street band paid a great tribute to John Lennon that night with a raw and explosive show. The twist and shout at the end was epic.

I was watching Monday Night Football.
What a surreal way of being notified about it.

Yep, I was at that Springsteen show the following night also, I believe his exact words were "If not for John Lennon , We would all be someplace very different Tonight" Epic Night at the Spectrum !!!

Now that I think about it, his last album was when I bought my first beater to protect my ta in the winter.

I have to admit I was never a real big Beatles fan, but was a fan of John Lennon. I remember the announcement of his assassination on WROQ the album station in Charlotte and kept the newspaper headline for years.
